I Made It!!!!

Well...I have arrived in Korea and survived my first couple days!  I got in Monday at about 4:15pm here (Korea is 14 hours ahead of Ohio right now).  It is def going to take some time adjusting to the time difference.  It was the longest day ever on Monday!!!  I left Ohio at 6:00am and flew all day, waited around the airport for about 2 and half to 3 hours then took a 3 hour bus ride to the dorms we are staying in.  Currently we are staying in Daejeon for orientation, which is 10 days, then we go to where we will be placed.
My flight wasn't too bad other than being extremely long!  I met a guy that grew up in Gyeonbuk, which is the province I have been placed in.  Then I met another guy from New York, but was stationed at Wright Patt for the Airforce.  While he was in Dayton he actually coached hockey, so he knew some kids from Troy...small world!
Yesterday was the first day of orientation, it wasn't too busy of a day though.  We started out with our medical exam, which was all pretty intimidating and uncomfortable.  Then we had lunch and an opening ceremony.  For the opening ceremony they had a high school group of boys come in and perform for us.  It was one of the most amazing performances I have ever seen!It was a drum performance called Samulnori, the kids did such a fantastic job!  After that we broke into different groups and discussed how the week is going to go.
So far I really like Korea and I've met some really amazing people from all over the world.  I can't wait to see where I will be living for the next year though!
