Katie's Wandering Seoul

Well I finally made my way to Japan for Chuseok.  I've been in Asia for a year and a half now, and Japan has always been on my list of countries to go to (since I was just a little one, all thanks to my old man).  Chuseok is Korea's Thanksgiving basically, so we had a long weekend.  It was something we had planned all the way back in about April, and talked about since this time last year.  The hard decision was deciding between Osaka and Tokyo (life is rough over here I know!).  In the end we chose Osaka though! I booked my flight with Helen (this was our third trip together since coming to Korea).  We went up to Seoul early on Wednesday, had a delicious South African meal, a couple glasses of wine (which almost cost us our flight), and a run yes literally a run through the subway and the airport.  We arrived in Osaka about 11pm Wednesday night, which only meant 1 thing, more running to catch the very last train into the city.  Thank god we met...

Alright...so it has been quite some time since I have made a post on here!  I feel that I have so much that I could write about.  However, instead of boring you with and update on everything going on in my life I will take a little time to write about Bali (since it happened back in August), and I will write about Japan a little bit later. Mango smoothies and Indonesian money My trip to Bali started out like so many of my other trips bus/train it up to Seoul, take the subway into the airport, exchange our money, and go through the usual check in routine of flying.  However this time I did at least have 3 of my friends there with me on this flight. We had about a 5-6 hour layover in Manila, which I have decided is the worlds worst airport ever. We get off our 4 hour flight with a lady waiting for us off to the side.  She proceeds to tell us she will take us to check in for our next flight since the computers were down.  Two of the girls went and got their ...
